Fall 2025 Newsletter
With all the evil that’s happening in our world today, life may seem hopeless and peace often hard to find. We see on the news daily: murders, robberies, natural disasters, and wars, yes wars. According to the Geneva Academy, there are 114 armed conflicts/wars, that are happening today, right now. Jesus taught that while wars and rumors of wars are inevitable, they are not to be a cause for alarm, and his followers should stay focused on the very things He has called them to do; ‘be watchful and not be deceived, to love one another as he loved them, and to make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching them all he commanded. He also instructed them to stand firm against persecution, take up their cross daily, and be prepared for his return at any time.’ As bad as it looks, we can be assured that our Great King Jesus is still on the throne. When we hear of all of the evil that’s occurring in our world today, remember who created all things, who controls all things, and who is the only one who can offer hope and peace in a world so full of violence and destruction. Jesus is the answer, He’s our only hope. My prayer for you is that you would obediently follow Him wherever He may lead you to share the Gospel with others. Don’t keep the Good News of salvation through Christ alone to yourselves…we are Christ’s ambassadors and we’ve been given the task of taking the gospel to all nations, tribes, and tongues...that’s our neighbor next door as well as the person in Africa. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:45-47)
Cornerstone Pachwa Ministry Update
Cornerstone Pachwa Church Construction is finally complete. It never ceases to amaze me that when I have doubts about having the funds to construct a church building, or purchase Bibles or sewing machines, the Lord always comes through and provides for what we need in His time and in His way. Pastor Geoffrey, our ‘Unreached4K Uganda Director,’ always tells me to “just trust in the Lord and He will provide…It’s the Lord’s church not ours,” and if He wants a church built in the midst of an ungodly cult, like the ‘Faith Unity Cult,’ He will stir in the hearts of an individual or church somewhere and they will provide the funds to build it…and the Lord has done just that. Pastor Geoffrey and his family have moved 6 hours away from Bombo to Pachwa to pastor and shepherd this new church. They are averaging about 200 villagers every Sunday, many of whom formerly followed the Bisaka cult. He teaches Bible study each week, trains ministers and leaders, directs his church to evangelize the entire village, and leads them to pray and fast. And the amazing thing is, they are getting it! They realize that Jesus gave His ALL for them so they are willing and ready to give their ALL for Him, even in the face of persecution from the cult. I think we can all learn something from them. Jesus wants ALL of us ALL the time, not just on Sundays and Wednesdays. Am I giving my all to Jesus? Are you giving your ALL to Jesus?
Cornerstone Ndejje Evangelism Outreach
August 28-30, ministers, leaders, and lay people alike, from all 3 of the ‘Unreached4K’ Bombo churches met at Ndejje for a mass outreach and evangelism event to share the gospel of Jesus by preaching from corner lots with a portable PA system and going door to door. Since it is a Muslim village, there are many, many challenges but we pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of the people and they would come to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior and begin growing in their new found faith at ‘New Life Baptist Church.’ Please pray that revival would come to this village.
Ukraine Ministry Update
On July 17, Brother Joe and myself flew to Ukraine to assist Pastor Paul with 2 of his week-long Kiddo camps. I was very surprised at how easy it was to cross the border from Romania to Ukraine by just showing our U.S. passports and stating that we were coming to help minister to the children. Pastor Paul met us on the other side and took us to his home where we would stay for the next 2 and a half weeks. We both shared from God’s word during Sunday’s worship service then began our week of ministry in Shepit, about a 2 hour drive up into the mountains. Each day, breakfast and lunch were provided to the young people by many faithful volunteers, adults and college students. Pastor Paul is extremely organized with the Bible lesson outlines already prepared and the sessions already setup and ready to go, thanks to his team of volunteers. There were 113 children and teens broken up into 4 groups and each day we had a sports activity, a craft activity, a Bible Lesson, and a time of physical fitness. Since these young people had little to no knowledge of the Bible, we began on Monday at the beginning with God creating the World and Mankind, Tuesday we studied the Fall of Mankind, Wednesday, we studied the Law of God, Thursday, we looked at the only way to Heaven is Jesus from John 14:6, and then finally on Friday, we shared the Gospel with them, how to be true follower of Jesus Christ. The children really enjoyed the Bible stories, paid close attention to what we said, and many seeds were planted in the hearts of these young people. We didn’t merely teach a Bible study lesson each day but we participated in every activity together with our particular group, we listened to their stories, many of which broke our hearts, and we made many lifelong friends. We then helped take everything down; a huge tent, trampoline, benches, popcorn and cotton candy machines, and much more to transport to our next camp.
Week 2, we were at Pastor Paul’s home church, Revival Baptist Church in Vizhnitsa, about 10 minutes from his home. We had a total of 101 children and teens at this camp and basically repeated everything we had previously done in Shepit. We had an absolutely wonderful time with these young people that just needed to know that someone cares about them, loves them enough to share the Good News of Jesus with them, and spend time with them. Please pray that many will remember how much Jesus loves them and that they would one day follow Him as Lord and Savior. Also, please pray for Pastor Paul and his ministry in Ukraine.
